Hi, this is Mr. Wright and I’m excited for a new year of school. This year I will be teaching P.2, P.4 and P.6. I’ll also be working with the PM English Ambassador Team. We are going to start a new interest group this year called North Point Methodist News Channel. We will create English videos about all kinds of fun and exciting activities at school. You can check out the NPMP News Channel on the English page of the school website!
This year will be a lot of fun because we have a lot of new games and activities to share. There will be new books and e-learning projects in PLPR and reading workshop. English Days will have a whole new look this year with a lot of different activities including board games, sports, and even a scavenger hunt. Check back under ‘English Activities’ to find out about all of the neat things we’re doing this year!
Hello everyone, I am Mr. Morne Barnardo. I hope you all had a wonderful summer holiday and are ready for the new school year ahead. As we have a few new students and P1’s that have joined us at North Point Methodist Primary school, I am going to take this opportunity to introduce myself again.
I am originally from South Africa and have been living in Hong Kong for 6 years and 3 months together with my wife and two daughters. I previously worked as a teacher in South Africa, England, and in other schools in Hong Kong where I gained valuable experience at Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary school levels. I have a great passion for teaching and enjoy working with children and trying to see and understand the world through their eyes, whilst helping them reach their goals and ambitions.
This is my second year at North Point Methodist Primary school, and I will be teaching P1, P3 and P5. I will also assist with English Ambassadors and the Drama group. I am excited about the prospect of educating your child, and believe that a child’s learning environment should be positive, and one in which they are happy and feel cared for and accepted. Each child should be valued and respected, and together with the teachers’ and parents’ co-operation, I am confident that your child will be nurtured to his/her full potential.
Thank you for trusting me with your most precious possession. I look forward to teaching your child this year.
Hello, my name is Miss Fiona McGregor and I am excited to start my first year as a Chatteris Native English Teacher at North Point Methodist Primary School. This year I am lucky enough to be teaching P2, P4 and P6. I will also assist with the English Ambassador Team, as well as with the Drama group. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you so please come up and say hello if you see me around school.
I have just moved to Hong Kong from Aberdeen, Scotland and I am very excited to learn more about your own culture whilst teaching you about mine. So far I think the city is amazing, with so much to do and see and taste! I love to travel and enjoy seeing different countries and learning about their history and traditions.
There are going to be so many fun English events this year at North Point, I can’t wait to get started!
Hello, my name is Miss Rose. I am one of the new Chatteris Native English Teachers (CNET) at North Point Methodist Primary School this year. I’m looking forward to meeting all of you and this year I will be teaching P1, P3 and P5. I am from a city in the North-east of Scotland called Aberdeen. I have just arrived in Hong Kong and am really looking forward to spending a year here working with the children at the school and learning more about the Hong Kong culture.
I will also be working with Mr. Wright on the new NPMPS News Channel, involving a group of students to make short films to promote English at the school. I’m really excited to work with these students and with the English Ambassador team on this new project and many other English activities throughout the year.
