Hi, this is Mr. Wright again and I’m happy to announce my return as a Native English Teacher. This year I will be teaching P.2, P.4 and P.6. I’ll also be working with the PM English Ambassador Team and working on the newspaper interest group. You can check out NPMP News on the English page of the school website! This year we hope to add new student-created content from the whole school.
I’m excited for this year because we have a lot of new games and activities to share. We’re planning a lot of interesting units in PLPR and the Reading Workshop, including an animal project, and even an online blog. We are even teaching students to be caring citizens in the ‘Problems in Our World’ unit. Check back under ‘English Activities’ to find out about all of the neat things we’re doing this year!
Mr. Morne Barnardo,
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Morne Barnardo, and I am from a beautiful country called South Africa. I’ve been living together with my wife and two daughters in Hong Kong for over five years and have enjoyed my time in this incredible country. I enjoy travelling to different countries to learn more about traditions and the way people live. Asia is one of the most beautiful continents I have travelled through. Hong Kong is an amazing place with a lot of history and traditions. Chinese food is for sure one of my favorite cuisines!
I have 11 years teaching experience, teaching in South Africa, England and Hong Kong. I have taught at Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary level. I have a passion for children and enjoy seeing them progress through life. I see children as our new future leaders and enjoy guiding them in the right direction. I am friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to, so please encourage your child to speak to me at any time he/she wishes.
This is my first year at Northpoint Methodist Primary School. I will be the NET Teacher for P1, 3 and 5 and look forward to the new school year ahead. I will also assist at English Ambassadors, as well as with the Drama group. I am excited about the prospect of teaching your child, and believe a child’s learning environment must be one where they are happy, cared for and feel accepted. Each child should be valued and respected, and with the teachers and parents
co-operation the child will be natured to his/her full potential.
Thank you for trusting me with your most precious possession. I look forward to teaching your child this year.
Hello, my name is Miss Warner Smith and I am excited to start my first year as a Chatteris Native English Teacher at North Point Methodist Primary School. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and this year I will be teaching P2, P4 and P6.
I will also be co-running the Awesome Musical Drama Club which I know is going to be great fun and I am very excited that the pantomime this year is The Wizard of Oz – a great show which I have fond memories of from my own childhood.
I have just moved to Hong Kong from England, where I grew up on a farm in the countryside, so I am eager to learn more about your own culture whilst teaching you about mine. So far I think the city is amazing, with so much to do and see and taste!
Hi! My name is Miss Hinojosa. I am one of the new Chatteris Native English Teachers (CNET) this year. I will be teaching P.1, P.3 and P.5. I am from Derby, a small city in England. Derby is very quiet compared to the busy streets of Hong Kong! I have just moved here and I am looking forward to learning all about Hong Kong culture.
I am really excited to be co-running the Awesome Musical Drama Club this year! I love drama and can’t wait to work with North Point Methodist Primary School students to perform the Wizard of Oz pantomime. There will also be lots of other fun English activities to be involved in. I can’t wait to get started!
