Hi, this is Mr. Wright and I’m back again, ready for a new school year. I will be teaching P.2, P.4 and P.6 this year. I’ll also be working with the Drama interest group and the PM English Ambassador Team. This year will be a lot of fun because we have a lot of new games and activities to share. Students will be participating in the Independent Reading Program this year. At home as well as in PLPR and Reading Workshop lessons students will have free time to read English books. Students will be able to read any books they like in order to help develop good reading habits and a love for English.
We have a lot of other interesting activities planned as well, including English days and a new Phonics Program for P.1 to P.3. We hope to make this last year at our Cheung Hong Street home the best year ever for North Point Methodist Primary School. See you around this year!
Mr. Morne Barnardo,
Hello everyone! I hope you all had an amazing summer holiday and are ready for the new school year ahead. As we have a few new students and P1’s that have joined us at North Point Methodist Primary school, I am going to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you.
I am originally from South Africa, but have been living in Hong Kong for 7 years together with my wife and two daughters. I previously worked as a teacher in South Africa, England, and in other schools in Hong Kong where I gained valuable experience at Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary school levels. I have a great passion for teaching and enjoy working with children and trying to see and understand the world through their eyes, whilst helping them reach their goals and ambitions.
This is my third year at North Point Methodist Primary school, and I will be teaching P1, P3 and P5. I will also help with English Ambassadors and with the North Point News Channel. I am excited about the prospect of educating your child, and believe that a child’s learning environment should be positive, and one in which they are happy and feel cared for and accepted. Each child should be valued and respected, and together with the teachers and parents’ co-operation, I am confident that your child will be nurtured to his/her full potential.
Thank you for trusting me with your most precious possession. I look forward to teaching your child this year.
Hello! I am new to North Point this year and will be working as a Chatteris Native English Teacher alongside the Native English Teachers and local teachers for classes P2, P4 and P5. I am very excited to meet everyone and to start teaching!
I am from England, UK and this is my first time in Hong Kong! I have a degree in Psychology and have had experience in teaching environments both in the UK and in Canada with Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary schools. I really enjoy working with children and look forward to bringing some energy and excitement to teaching English to your children!
I will also be helping with the AM Drama club on Mondays! I have studied Drama at school and have experience leading drama workshops! I am very excited to get started with the plays this year! Additionally, I will be helping with the AM English Ambassador Team, and again look forward to meeting the children and enhancing their English through fun and interactive activities!
I am looking forward to creating a safe and fun environment for your children to enhance their English reading, writing and speaking skills to enable your children to reach their full potential.
My name is Miss D’Angelo and I am one of the new Native English Teachers working for Chatteris Educational Foundation. I am from New Orleans, in America and have attended university in the United Kingdom. There I attained a bachelor degree in English Language and Communication.
This year, I will be teaching P1, P3 and P6, helping the children read, write and speak in English. Myself and Mr. Wright will be running the afternoon school’s EAT team, and myself and Mr. Barnardo will be running the English News Channel (NPMPS). These are fun extra-curricular activities that the kids can take part in that will allow them to learn skills and practice their English!
I am looking forward to having a good, productive year and helping the children! Please feel free to come in to speak with me about any questions you may have.
